Wait a minute…was that SUN?

Leave it to us Northwesterners…the sun peeks out for 48 hours and we go nuts! The neighborhood was full of squealing kids all weekend. In fact I think the entire town was out enjoying the much needed rays of sunshine. Everyone dug out their shorts from the back of the closet. Lawnmowers were brought back from the depths of the garage. Bikes and helmets were dusted off. Patio furniture took it’s place in the backyard. The playground was buzzing with activity. Families went for walks. Bubbles and balls were flying in the yard. It was WONDERFUL!!!  I had forgotten just how nice it is to spread our wings after being cooped up in the house all winter. But the big grey clouds have rolled back in, and the cold wind had started blowing through the spring blossoms on the trees. It was just a little taste of what is to come; a little reminder to hang in there. And we will…with our flip-flops by the door, our bikes waiting in the garage, and our bubbles on the patio!

Trying to blow bubbles…with the wand above her forehead!

  Trying to feed herself bubbles!

  Nice one Isaac…

She was mesmerized by the slimy mess…of course!

My little poser. She loves pictures now, if I could only capture a real smile!

The sweetest boy in the whole wide world!

At least she’s a cute little stinker!

Cheese! What a big girl she is.

  • We were outside all weekend too! I love Eliza’s dress. So cute! She looks like she is getting so big. All the kids around Journey’s age look so big to me since she isn’t walking yet.
