We’ve all been fighting the flu at our house…any given day finds someone achey, feverish, coughing, etc. The other day Lexi had a fever and stayed home from school. She spent the entire day laying on the big chair in our room watching movies, napping and coloring. By the time Bryce got home from work that evening Lexi had moved down to the couch. When Daddy came over to check on her…she told him she felt a little better, but “Now I understand what a headache is Daddy. It really hurts! My head is copying everything! When the TV says ‘we’ll be right back’ my head says ‘we’ll be right back’ too!” Ahhh, what a wonderfully sad moment. I hate that my little girl was feeling so crummy, but now she understands why Mommy and Daddy get a little grumpy when we have a headache and the kids are loud.
