Oct. 9, 2009-I’m having one of those days where I wish that I got out more often. I am such a social being, and yet I spend so much of my time “socializing” with preschoolers! I love people watching, but I watch the same 3-5 people all day everyday…and that’s not the same. I wish I could write about the unbelievably odd person I watched at the gym (my friend’s story) or the chihuahua I saw riding on a motorcycle down I-205 (Bryce’s story). I want to quote bumper stickers from cars I follow down the road (a neighbor’s hobby). I want to share wisdom I gained when having lunch with an older friend or an epiphany I had during some alone time in a coffee shop (again, my friend’s stories). I can write about nap schedules, poopy diapers, refereeing toddler fights, preventing tantrums, and juggling meal times. Sometimes I feel like my life is full, ridiculously chaotic, fast paced, but not much of it feels blog worthy. Hmmmm….. Love, Amy
Oct. 7, 2009-Lexi’s teacher got home from her wedding weekend in Vegas today. I asked her about her day when she got off the bus. ME: So, was it nice to finally see your teacher again? LEX: Yep, I missed her. ME: Did you remember to call her Mrs. Strafford or did you call her Miss Crew? LEX: MOM, I called her Mrs. Strafford as soon as I saw her, cause she got married and I wanted to make her feel special. ME: That’s sweet Lexi, does she look any different now that she has a new name? LEX: No Mom…….not really……..well, except for maybe a little bit taller. HA! I love it!
